Unity is a cross-platform game engine that allows you to design 2D and 3D worlds.  Their goal is to "democratize game-development by making it accessible to more game developers." You don't need to be a 3D modeler or engineer to use Unity, although it does allow for modification of script (C++).  Aside from game development, Unity is being used to create virtual reality experiences and is becoming popular in the film industry. They are offering their classes free for three months during quarantine.
